Pathways to Sustainable Employment
The pathways to sustainable employment incubation project has been a transformative initiative designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Ghana’s Upper West Region. Spanning ten weeks, this intensive program offers comprehensive training, business incubation, mentorship, and resources to help participants develop their business ideas into market-ready products.
Despite encountering challenges such as technical issues and logistical constraints, the program successfully guided these startups through critical stages of product development, branding, and market entry. At the end of the training, nine (9) startups were launched during a local startup summit where Smart Meals was selected as the standout startup, to compete at the Ghana Startup Summit.
As part of post incubation support, noni Hub organized job fairs and industrial attachment placements to expose these trainees to industrial experience and job opportunities. As an incubation hub we will continue to provide mentorship, facilitate access to funding, and market access for these startups. The hub will also provide ongoing technical support and maintain a structured monitoring and evaluation system to track the progress of these ventures. Through these efforts, Noni Hub aims to create a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem that not only supports individual startups but also contributes to the broader economic development and innovation landscape in Ghana.
This project was implemented in collaboration with the Ghana Tech Lab with support from World Bank and the Mastercard Foundation.
